Carl grew up in and around the Biggsville, Illinois area (including
Burlington, IA). His mother was Liz Bersch, sister Angela Bersch.
He had a passion for boxing. As a member of the local boxing club, he earned several titles.
He was married and later divorced, and he eventually made his way from the Midwest down to Florida.
There are many guesses as to what happened to Carl, but we may never know unless we are informed from
somebody who knows. The autopsy was screwed up on the Florida end. When he returned to Iowa, the coroner here
said he appeared to have been murdered.
I have strong suspicion that he was murdered.
So, this webpage is a minor tribute to Carl's shortened life and his ups and downs, his
hated and his passions, his death and his blossomed life.
